Meet Dr. Joanne Hong
Dr. Joanne Hong
Dr. Joanne Hong is a board-certified pediatric dentist and Southern California native. She graduated cum laude from Rice University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where she gained extensive experience caring for children with behavioral and medical complexities, dental trauma, and special health care needs.
Dr. Hong is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children from infancy through adolescence. She believes in meeting each child where they are by building trust at their own pace and working closely with parents to feel informed and comfortable with their child’s care. Her training includes preventive and restorative dentistry, behavior guidance, and treatment with nitrous oxide and IV sedation when appropriate.
A native Mandarin speaker who also speaks Spanish, Dr. Hong values being able to connect with families from a variety of backgrounds. She is also passionate about international dental missions and is an active member of Global Health Outreach, providing dental care to underserved communities around the world. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hong enjoys scuba diving and hiking with her husband and training her Belgian malinois puppy.
Credentials include: Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Certified in sedation and hospital dentistry, and experience treating pediatric patients with special health care needs.
